Racers United at Dallas Karting Complex SWRC Finals

October 4, 2011- Dallas, Texas- Racers United Charitable Fund announced today that it raised $500 for Kidd’s Kids, a local based charity that helps send terminally ill children on a once in a lifetime trip to Disney World each year. The money was raised this past weekend during the Southwest Regional Cup held at the new Dallas Karting Complex. A raffle was conducted over two days where over $400 was raised and the winner gave some of the proceeds back to the charity. In addition, private donations raised the amount to $500. Derrick Brown, Executive Director of Kidd’s Kids, “Thanks so much, we truly appreciate the support”.

In 2011, the fund has now raised almost $10,000 to several charities throughout the US and hopes to eclipse its 2010 mark when it wraps up the season in Las Vegas for the SuperNats. The fund is managed by Cole Glasson Racing and hopes are to expand its reach further by expanding its presence in other National and Regional series to create a greater opportunity to give back.
