Racers United was founded in 2008 on the premise of instilling positive values in young racers while giving back to the communities in which we race. In late 2010, the fund rebranded itself under the direction of Cole Glasson Racing to broaden its reach in 2011 and beyond. With the renewed focus, the fund will be operating under the new mantra, "Impacting the future of the charities we touch". The fund has raised over $55,000 for charities across the US.

Racers United Raises $839 during Rotax Pan American at Homestead

Miami, FL- Racers United Charitable Fund announced today it raised $839 for Voices for Children, a Miami based charity that helps neglected and abused children find safe places to live and provide them the essentials of day to day living. Since 2010, Racers United and Pan American has raised over $3,000 for this specific charity in the two times they have raced at Homestead.
This was the fifth karting event of the year and was held at the Homestead Karting Facility for the opening East Rounds of qualifying for the Pan American Nationals that will be held in September. Racers United sold 50/50 raffle tickets the first two days of the event. A drawing was held on Sunday to announce the winner. Half of the proceeds went to the winner and the other half went to the Miami based Voices for Children Organization. The winner of the raffle, Lachlan DeFrancesco, gave his share of the winnings to the charity which raised the amount to $839 after private donations. Special thanks to Pam Heron and Wendy Glasson of DFR who sold the tickets.
Racers United continues to schedule events for the 2011 race season with the next event at the SWRC Series in Denton, Texas, followed by the Pan American East race held in South Bend, Indiana. For more information on Racers United, please visit their website at www.racersunited.org.
